Hello 5th grade families!
We had a great week getting to know each other and learn routines and procedures. We are ready to start our traditional weekly homework. All homework will be done in the homework composition books. Each night, please help your child settle into a homework spot and time so that success is ensured. Below is a list of assignments that are due by Friday. Ideally, the students should be completing each day's homework that night. I will be checking composition books throughout the week to ensure students are doing their homework. Hip Hip Hooray for a Happy First Day!
We had an amazing first day in 5th grade today. We went to an assembly for school rules and procedures. We learned the interests of our classmates by thinking of things we like that start with the same letter as our first name. Mrs. DeBono likes dodgeball, Quinten likes to quietly read, and Megan likes monkeys! We got to meet our new P.E. teacher, Mrs. Chesebrough and had our first cafeteria lunch of the year. We worked in teams to complete tasks and discussed our thoughts and feelings on 5th grade.
I'm so excited to get this year rockin! Students, you made my day today. I'm looking forward to another great day tomorrow. Enjoy your no homework night!
Love,
Mrs. DeBono
